Looked in a mirror lately? What did you see? Maybe I should say, how do you see yourself? How you see yourself makes a difference in the success you achieve.
How you communicate with yourself makes a difference in the way everything else comes across in life too.
When you see yourself in a positive light, it starts to change your world. If you see yourself as a happy person, you’ll start having happier days.
If you think you’re an angry person, you’ll be angry all the time and small things will get under your skin.
Since it benefits us to be happy, and to be positive, I’d like to talk about how we can change the way we see ourselves so we can strive ever closer to our goals.
One of the best ways you can start to make these changes is by identifying your limiting beliefs. What are some of the thoughts and limiting ideas that you believe about yourself? Can you name them? How are they holding you back right now?
Perhaps you’re not very good at sales, (or you think you aren’t). Start by changing how you think about your sales skills. Instead of saying to yourself, “I’m no good at sales.” You can begin to say, “I’m learning how to be better at sales.” See the difference?
Another way you can change the way you see yourself is to write it down, and literally state on paper how and why you feel happy, or successful, etc. right now.
Something as simple as, “I’m so happy right now that…” Then insert whatever thing it is that you want to accomplish. “I’m so happy now, that I make $50,000 a week.” Any other goal you have can go in there too. It doesn’t have to be a monetary value.
Simply stated, you’re writing down the affirmation as if you already have the thing you want. As if that day is today. The more you do this the more it pumps you up. The more charged you feel.
Start saying positive things to and about yourself.
Here’s an example I love. “I find the easiest, fastest, and funnest ways of making the most money with the least effort and no guilt!” This one is awesome!
When you start saying stuff like this, then you’ll start to believe it’s possible. At first, it sounds kind of corny, but when you read between the lines and understand what it actually means for you, then you’ll start to change.
If you’re wondering how you’ll start to change. Well, the only way I can describe it is to tell you your actions will change.
When you approach things from the mindset that you are the things you want to be, then you take action based on your new reality.
A rich and powerful person didn’t get to where he is by making excuses and throwing away money. He got there by taking daily actions toward his goals.
When you start to see yourself differently, then you’ll start taking different actions that line up with your view of yourself and the world. Different actions take us different places.
Check out this four-step outline if it’s still not making sense. Start with a clear vision of who you want to become. Write it down on paper. What does your life look like in 5 years from now.
The second step is coming up with the “why”. Write down all the reasons why you need to change the way you see yourself. Write down why you need success, why you need money, why you need to help people. This is going to drive you forward.
Step three is to get focused and put your attention on your dreams. Start dreaming again. When was the last time you did that? The final step is to take MASSIVE ACTION!
Change the way you see yourself. Change the things you tell yourself. Change the future you’re working toward. Change your life right now!
